Walter (that is, Elizabeth, her children, Lilian Grace and William Gilbert, and an "A Grainger" - perhaps her brother Alfred), the photograph also provides specific information about the family's arrival in Australia and, in another handwriting, notes that the man is "Marie's grandfather" - that is, John Spencer Walter.
